TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) —
Broken Arrow Esports athletes are training for the next Special Olympics.

They've won the National Rocket League Championship two years in a row.
Now, they're looking for a three-peat.
But being the best isn't just about bragging rights anymore.
"They can compete to earn scholarships, so that's a thing now," said Broken Arrow Public Schools Esports coach Dylan Gage. "We have colleges starting their own competitive eSports programs where they can give out scholarships to those who can earn them at the high school level competitively."
Like in traditional sports, students have to make the grade in order to compete.
If they aren't passing their classes, they have to sit on the sidelines.
