TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Tucson police have released additional details about the shooting death of a man outside a Tucson recreation center in January.

32-year-old Terrance Russell Ross was found dead at the Donna R Liggins Recreation Center, 2160 N. Sixth Avenue, around 3 a.m. on Jan. 24. Ross was found in the parking lot with obvious signs of trauma.

Police on Wednesday, March 29, said one of the two suspects, 15-year-old Carlos Cadena, was shot and killed on Jan. 28 in the 400 block of East Wetmore Road. Police believe Cadena was the shooter in the Ross homicide.

Detectives discovered the other suspect in Ross’ death, a 13-year-old boy, was being held in the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center for several unrelated robbery charges. He had been arrested on Jan. 31.

On March 28, homicide detectives went to the PCJDC and added the charges of felony murder, armed robbery and aggravated robbery for the juvenile teen.

Police believe more people were present on the night of the Jan. 24 shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
