HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) - Students at the Forrest County campus of Pearl River Community College are enjoying a new option when it comes to catching a quick bite between classes.

A new food truck operated by PRCC and Aladdin Campus Dining has begun serving hamburgers, tacos, chicken tenders and Philly cheese steaks on that campus.

“I saw on their Facebook page that they were bringing a food truck here, so I thought it was a good idea and so students can have the opportunity to get something to eat on their way to class or going back home,” said student Robert Nixon.

“I think it’s pretty convenient having it here,” said Madi Glidewell, another student. “It’s nice not having to go and wait in the line at at restaurant and be able to come across the street.”

The new service will be offered three days a week during lunch, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

“If you can have everything or as much as you can that they need right here, it just really helps the student financially, physically, in every aspect,” said Michelle Wilson Stokes, dean of student services at PRCC.

The truck will eventually include PRCC’s Hancock County campus in its rounds.
