🚔 Two other shootings that occurred on the same day, October 10, remain under investigation
A man responsible for one of three shootings in a 24-hour period last October 10 between Long Branch and West Long Branch has been indicted by a Monmouth County Grand Jury, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago.
The shooting that 27-year old Donte Gibson was involved in seriously injured a man who wound up getting dropped off at the hospital after gunshots went off in West Long Branch leading to police arrival around 9:45 pm on October 10 near a convenience store along the 800 block of Broadway.
Police later learned that the victim was treated for injuries to his hip and forearm and was eventually released from hospital care.
While Gibson was arrested in early November for the one shooting that happened that day, the other two, which took place in Long Branch, remain under investigation to this day.
Gibson is charged with one count of first-degree Attempted Murder, one count of second-degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose, and one count of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
