Smith agreed to a one-year contract with Cincinnati on Monday, Peter Schrager of NFL Network reports. Smith appeared in eight games a season ago with Minnesota and finished with 25 catches for 182 yards and a pair of scores. He should have a chance to make an immediate impact with the Bengals if he can stay healthy, as he'll join the likes of Devin Asiasi, Tanner Hudson and Nick Bowers in the team's tight end corps, which no longer includes free-agent departure Hayden Hurst.

Rapp agreed Monday with Buffalo on a one-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Rapp is now in line to suit up for the Bills in 2023 following Monday's agreement. The 25-year-old has served as the Rams' starting strong safety since he was drafted as a second-round selection by Los Angeles in 2019, and he registered 92 tackles, six passes defensed and two interceptions across 16 contests last season. Although the Bills already have two prominent safety options in Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde (neck), Rapp is still more than likely to command a rotational role within the team's secondary.

Christopher registered two points (1-2 FG) across six minutes during Sunday's 108-91 loss to Cleveland. Christopher played just six minutes in the loss, the fewest he has played in almost two weeks. Despite playing somewhat consistent minutes, Christopher is outside the top 300 over the past two weeks, begging the question of why head coach Stephen Silas refuses to play TyTy Washington. Questionable coaching decisions aside, Christopher remains well off the radar, outside of the deepest of leagues.

Morant is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Magic due to soreness in his right thigh. It looks like Morant will be skipping the first leg of Memphis' upcoming Tuesday-Wednesday, back-to-back set, which will presumably result in another start for Tyus Jones and more usage for Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks. Morant managers should check back closer to Tuesday's 8:00 p.m. ET tip for official word on his status.

Coulombe was acquired by the Orioles from the Twins on Monday for cash considerations, Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports. Coulombe was going to come up short in his bid for a bullpen spot with the Twins, but he's been given a reprieve with the O's trading for him and promptly adding him to their relief corps. The veteran left-hander holds a 2.92 ERA over 41 appearances over the last three seasons.

DeJong (back) took some swings and fielded light grounders off a pitching machine in Florida on Wednesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports. DeJong is slowly ramping things back up after he had a setback with his back last week. He'll begin the season on the injured list and seems likely a good bet to be sidelined for a handful of weeks.

Seguin supplied a goal in Dallas' 4-1 victory over Chicago on Tuesday. Seguin entered the contest on a six-game goal-scoring slump, though he did register three assists in that span. Through 68 appearances this season, he has 18 markers and 44 points. With just eight games remaining on Dallas' schedule, Seguin might still reach the 20-goal milestone for the ninth time in his career.

On Tuesday, the Oklahoma City Thunder played what was simultaneously going to be arguably their most important game of their season to date and what should have been one of their easiest. At 37-38, the Thunder had a chance to reach .500 and effectively take a two-game lead over the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 10 seed in the Western Conference with their tiebreaker factored in. All they needed to do was beat the lowly Charlotte Hornets at home, and to make things even easier, those Hornets were without four of their best players: LaMelo Ball, Gordon Hayward, Terry Rozier and Mark Williams.

Suzuki (oblique) has been cleared to play three innings in the outfield in a minor-league spring training game Monday, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports. Suzuki is on track to open the season on the 10-day injured list, but now that he's been cleared to hit and play the outfield over the past couple days, he may be trending toward a minimum-length stay on the shelf. The second-year player is expected to begin getting at-bats in as part of a minor-league rehab assignment as soon as Saturday or Sunday.

The Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals will begin the 2023 MLB season at Busch Stadium. This interleague affair features a pair of 2022 playoff teams. The visiting Blue Jays won 92 games a year ago, finished second in the tough American League East, and claimed a wild-card berth. However, they were swept in the best-of-three Wild Card Series by the Mariners. As for the Cardinals, they won 93 games and the National League Central title under first-year manager Oliver Marmol, but they were also swept in the first round. In their case, the eventual NL-champion Phillies did the damage.
