Jenny Figaro Connors was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Red Bank. She passed away Jan. 28, 2022. She was the youngest daughter of John Figaro and Angelina (Mazzeo) Figaro.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Katherine Mazza, Antoinette Silver, Phyllis Bianco, Mary Maitland, and Florence Frase, and brothers Dominic Figaro and Anthony Figaro. She babysat for all her older siblings so they could work.
Jenny graduated from Red Bank Regional High School. She was allowed to go roller skating with her sisters at Sing Wheels in Shrewsbury. There she met Jack Connors who was stationed at Fort Monmouth. They were married for 63 years until Jack’s death. They had two sons, John Connors of Florida and Mark Connors of New Jersey. She had six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She worked for Silver’s, Seldin’s and Nat’s jewelers for many years. She was a homemaker who loved to bake the best cookies and pies for her family and friends. Her favorite times were in Atlantic City with Jack and her sisters. She bowled in a league two times a week. She will be missed by her nieces, nephews and all who knew and loved her.
