(Montague, MA) Update: Officer Michael Sevene spoke with Franklin County Now about the incident inciting the search for the woman and red Jeep.

According to Officer Sevene, the woman was seen on security cameras getting out of the red Jeep (both pictured below), presumably to walk the dog. The Jeep, operated by another person, was then seen driving on the sidewalk and onto the Nancy Gifford Softball Field, where it tore up the field.

While official estimates are not complete yet, the damage on the field could cost upwards of $20,000.

As of 11:10 a.m. Thursday, January 26th, the Montague Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman that was seen walking a small, white dog and a red Jeep with an unidentified driver.

According to the Montague Police Department, “Parties were involved in vandalism at the Franklin County Technical School causing extensive damage to the Nancy Gifford Softball Field on Saturday January 21, 2023.”
