A renovated indoor go-kart track has reopened in New Jersey.

RPM Raceway unveiled its upgraded indoor go-kart experience in Jersey City on Tuesday, Jan. 24.

The entertainment center at 99 Caven Point Rd. went through a six-month remodel that RPM Raceway now heralds as one of the world’s largest go-kart tracks.

The 78,000-square-foot facility features two racetracks that combine to stretch over 2,200 feet with a 72-second lap time, making it the world’s longest track.

The new tracks feature three levels of elevation, straightaways, 90-degree hairpin turns and spiraling ramps. They can accommodate up to 16 adult racers and 12 juniors.

RPM Raceway in Jersey City also features an arcade, esports and virtual reality arena. A trackside bar and grill is set to open later in the year.

“Twelve years ago, our family introduced the greater New York area to kart racing as a form of experiential entertainment,” Eyal Farage, CEO and co-owner of RPM Raceway, said in a press release. “This next-generation multi-level racing concept is not only incredible, it demonstrates our passion and commitment to improving the overall entertainment and hospitality experience of our guests.”

The company now operates five locations throughout the Northeast: one in New Jersey, three in New York and one in Connecticut.

This is the second big indoor go-kart facility making headlines recently. A 131,000-square-foot complex called Supercharged Entertainment opened last year in Edison on Route 1 South.
