Garmin has updated a host of recent smartwatches to new beta software builds ahead of stable rollouts. Enduro 2, Epix 2, Fenix 7 and Marq 2 series are now receiving Beta version 11.22, which follows hot on the heels of Beta version 11.21.

Garmin has started rolling out a new build to Enduro 2, Epix 2, Fenix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatches through its Public Beta program. While the company issued Beta version 11.21 less than a week ago, it has already moved onto Beta version 11.22. Please note that you must have enrolled your Enduro 2Epix 2Fenix 7 or Marq 2 series smartwatch on Garmin's Public Beta program before it will receive either update.

It is worth noting that it could take up to a day for GCM to pull the latest update from Garmin's servers. Also, Garmin stresses that it may take 'several hours' for an update to finish transferring, at which point you can then install it. Moreover, the company advises that you inform it of any bugs encountered through its Beta Bug Reports forum.

According to Garmin's forum post, Beta version 11.21 makes the following changes from Beta version 10.44:

  • Added Distance to Start data field to the Sail Race activity on the Regatta Timer page.
  • Added Jet Lag Adviser to Fenix 7, 7S, 7X, Enduro2, Quatix and Epix Gen 2.
  • Added 'Map Only' Touch setting to activities.
  • Added multi code point emoji support.
  • Added PacePro strategy page to Race widget.
  • Added Race Day card to Morning Report.
  • Added Sail Expedition app.
  • Added Stamina data field to Bike sports.
  • Added sunrise/sunset app improvements.
  • Added support for Connect IQ System 6.
  • Added support for transitions to backcountry ski.
  • Added unspecified gender support.
  • Added Wakesports activities (Wakesurf, Wakeboard, Waterski, Tube).
  • Added Workout Execution Score to post-activity summary.
  • Fixed a few issues with Daily Suggested workouts.
  • Fixed an issue where the device was exiting battery saver when accessing the activity list multiple times in a row.
  • Fixed an issue with day of week labels on the active calories graph.
  • Fixed blank Connect IQ glances when using 4 or more.
  • Fixed golf plays like icon display issue.
  • Fixed GPS issues at elevations below sea level.

By contrast, Beta version 11.22 adds only seven features from Beta version 11.21:

  • Added Outdoor Maps+ access to the Configure Maps page.
  • Fixed issues with the new "map only" touch setting.
  • Fixed issue where strength reps display could show an incorrect value.
  • Fixed issue related to Jet Lag data that was causing shutdowns when connecting to a computer.
  • Fixed issue causing a blank item in the training status list.
  • Fixed UI issue with sunrise/sunset option menu.
  • Marq 2 Only: Added Tempo Training to all Marq 2 models.
