Duquesne basketball game disrupted by Uber Eats delivery driver

By News Staff,

PITTSBURGH — Refs officiating Duquesne’s game against Loyola Chicago Wednesday night in Pittsburgh had to temporarily stop play when a man wandered onto the court, coming within inches of players.

The man was apparently an Uber Eats delivery driver, according to Channel 11 news partner the Tribune-Review, whose Tim Benz does play-by-play for the basketball team.

The incident has gone viral, with Uber Eats weighing in.

The Trib reports a Duquesne official believed the entire situation was staged.

Duquesne won the game, 72-58.
