Jennifer Lawrence will not be parted from her Mary-Janes. The actor, who owns The Row’s Ava style in black and cream, Doen’s velvet slippers and Aeyde’s square-toe ballerina pumps, has made fancy flats a staple of her everyday wardrobe, and styles them with everything from denim to jumpsuits.

On January 25, the actor looked ready for business in her cream Ava pumps, which she teamed with slouchy shorts (also The Row), a plain black top and an oversized blazer. Lawrence usually carries luxe bags from her friends the Olsen sisters’ brand (the N/S Park tote and 90S shoulder bag are her favorites), but this time, she wore Prada’s Re-Edition 2000 nylon mini bag – a reworked version of an archive style.

Understated flats aside, Lawrence has been known to throw the odd footwear curveball, too. Last year found her variously in The Row’s paper-thin Ozzy slippers – more “non-shoe” than actual shoe – fuzzy Ugg slippers and jelly shoes, as well as Birkenstock’s sellout Boston clogs. New York’s foremost anti-heel influencer proves you don’t need a stiletto to make a statement.
