Weekly crime reports from the Sheriff’s Dept. North Coastal Station from Jan. 16 to Jan. 22 for the cities of Encinitas, Del Mar and Solana Beach. All arrestees within these crime reports are presumed innocent.
Perez, 53, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. on Jan 22 at Orpheus Avenue, Encinitas, for disorderly conduct.
Darangil, 31, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. on Jan 22 at North Coast Highway 101, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for robbery and vandalism. The male victim, 48, reported a stolen and recovered damaged black Motorola cell phone ($300).
Milone, 32, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. on Jan 17 at North Willowspring Drive/ Pleasant Road Grove, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Nunez, 50, was arrested at 10:36 p.m. on Jan 17 at Encinitas Boulevard, Days Inn, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Choate, 57, was arrested at 10:57 a.m. on Jan 18 at San Elijo Avenue, Cafe Miracles, Cardiff by the sea. The arrestee was booked at the Vista Detention Facility for a felony bench warrant.
Jimenez, 34, was arrested at 8:39 p.m. on Jan 18 at Requeza Street, Encinitas, for possessing controlled substances and paraphernalia.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 9:24 p.m. on Jan 18 at 5th Street, Encinitas. The male victim, 21, reported stolen bills and coins ($50).
A.Young, 23, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. on Jan 18 at Camino Del Mar, Dog Beach, Del Mar. The arrestee was booked at the Vista Detention Facility for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 9:20 a.m. on Jan 19 at Sierra Avenue, Solana Beach. The male victim, 48, reported a stolen scooter ($3,500).
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 11:57 a.m. on Jan 19 at Birchview Drive, Encinitas. The male victim, 57, reported stolen miscellaneous items ($250).
Weight, 25, was arrested at 1:42 p.m. on Jan 19 at Oceanside Boulevard, Plaza Rancho del Oro, Oceanside, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for violating his probation.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for a stolen vehicle at 8:54 a.m. on Jan 20 at Pheobe Street, Encinitas. The female victim, 35, reported a stolen white utility vehicle ($18,000), miscellaneous items ($2,200), miscellaneous house goods ($350), miscellaneous clothing ($400), Tom Ford sunglasses ($1,200), and additional miscellaneous items ($300).
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for petty theft at 3:48 p.m. on Jan 20 at South Helix Avenue, Solana Beach. The male victim, 32, reported a stolen black iPhone 12 ($308).
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 6:30 p.m. on Jan 20 at Saxony Road, YMCA, Encinitas. The female victim, 85, reported stolen credit cards, bills and coins ($300), and a stolen identification card ($32).
Chavez, 36, was arrested at 7:48 p.m. on Jan 20 at Santa Fe Drive, Scripps, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for resisting a peace officer and resisting an executive officer with a minor injury.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for battery at 8:48 p.m. on Jan 20 at Stratford Court, Stratford Beach Apartments, Del Mar. The female victim, 50, was left with apparent minor injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 10:23 a.m. on Jan 21 at South Cedros Avenues, Solana Beach. The male victim, 58, reported a stolen light green/black Pedego bicycle ($2,200).

Prine, 39, was arrested at 1:54 p.m. on Jan 21 at Pssiflora Avenue, Encinitas, for possessing controlled narcotic substances and possessing controlled paraphernalia.
Cason, 37, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. on Jan 21 at Encinitas Boulevard, Mr. Peabody’s Bar, Encinitas, for battery on a person. The female victim, 42, was left with apparent minor injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 9:50 a.m. on Jan 22 at Coast Boulevard, Poseidon Restaurant, Del Mar. The male victim, 41, was the victim of a lost article.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 1:16 p.m. on Jan 22 at North El Camino Real, Home Depot, Encinitas. The male victim, 39, reported a stolen pistol ($500) and bag ($30).
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for vehicle burglary at 7:40 a.m. on Jan 17 at Caminito Septimo, Cardiff by the Sea. The male victim, 29, reported stolen personal identifying information, miscellaneous tools ($10,000), a power tool ($11,350), and additional miscellaneous tools ($3,000).
Choukri, 30, was arrested at 8:45 a.m. on Jan 18 at East D Street, Encinitas Transit Center, Encinitas, and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for being under the influence of controlled substances.
McDuffy, 52, was arrested at 9:37 a.m. on Jan 18 at Oceanside Boulevard, Upper Crust Pizza, Oceanside. The arrestee was booked at the Vista Detention Facility for a felony against another agency’s warrant.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for found property at 10:51 a.m. on Jan 18 at North El Camino Real, Encinitas. Sheriff’s deputies found a Mossberg Maverick rifle and a Sears Ranger rifle.

Espinoza, 47, was arrested at 5:28 p.m. on Jan 18 at Oceanside Boulevard, Oceanside and booked at the Vista Detention Facility for grand theft. The victim, The North County Transit System, reported a stolen red/black Honda GX ($6,000).
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for grand theft at 7:17 p.m. on Jan 18 at Del Mar Shores, Solana Beach. The male victim, 32, reported a stolen black bicycle (($2,800).
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for battery at 2:51 p.m. on Jan 18 at San Benito Court, Solana Beach. The female victim, 64, was left with apparent minor injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for battery at 10:41 a.m. on Jan 19 at Ocean Front Street, Del Mar. The male victim, 29, was left with no injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call for shoplifting at 8:32 a.m. on Jan 17 at Santa Fe Drive, Vons, Encinitas. The victim, Vons, reported stolen liquor ($60).
Cavataio, 51, was arrested at 2:11 p.m. on Jan 17 at Olive Avenue, Vista Transit Center, Vista, for a misdemeanor citation and released with a warrant.
