SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- A boy was rushed to the hospital after he was pulled out of a bathtub at a San Tan Valley home on Thursday afternoon. Around 12:45 p.m., a mother called 911, saying she found her 4-year-old son not moving inside the tub near Hunt Highway and Mountain Vista Boulevard. Pinal County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived and began CPR on the boy, and firefighters took over shortly afterward. Investigators say he was blue and had a weak pulse.

TEMPE, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — A three-car crash on Loop 101 north in Tempe has one person being flown to a Mesa hospital while others were taken to a local hospital. Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers have blocked off exit 53, the Broadway Road/Apache Boulevard off-ramp. DPS has not reported at this time if impairment was a factor. Investigators are looking into what led up to the crash, and Arizona’s Family will update the story as more information comes in.

MESA, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) – A person is dead after a flash fire with flammable materials in northeast Mesa early Thursday morning. According to the Mesa Fire department, crews responded to Task Aerospace located just north of the Red Mountain Loop 202 and Higley Road just after 2 a.m. When they arrived, they entered the building involved and extinguished a small fire and that’s when they also located a victim. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators are currently at the scene looking into what led up to the fire.

CAVE CREEK, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) -- Emergency crews worked early Wednesday to rescue two people trapped in treacherous floodwaters in Cave Creek. Video from the scene appears to show two men atop their white pickup truck near Spur Cross Road, about three miles northwest of the popular Rancho Manana Golf Club. Rescue crews from Scottsdale Fire Department, Daisy Mountain Fire Rescue, and the Phoenix Fire Department all assisted in the operation where all two men were rescued using a ladder. Officials say that the men were trying to get to a job site when they got washed downstream. No injuries were reported.

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — The Phoenix Police Department confirmed on Thursday the three people found dead earlier this week in their home near South Mountain were victims of a murder-suicide, and the woman was pregnant. Phoenix Police Sgt. Brian Bower said 27-year-old Jacob De Zeeuw shot and killed 37-year-old Sarah Scott and 6-year-old Jacob De Zeeuw, Jr. near 16th Street and Dobbins Road. Scott was four months pregnant and her unborn child also died. De Zeeuw then took his own life. Bower said Jacob De Zeeuw, Jr. wasn’t related to Scott.
