Check out these official protective cases for Galaxy S23

Yesterday, we reported about a unique clear case for Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S23 series. The cover featured a ring, LED, and potentially NFC connectivity. But it wasn’t “clear” if the accessory is an official offering from Samsung or a third-party solution. Turns out the Korean firm is readying this unusual case itself. German publication WinFuture has provided more visuals of the new Galaxy S23 cover. The publication has also given us images of a couple of other official protective cases for the new Samsung flagships.

The new report refers to this unique clear case for the Galaxy S23 series as Ring Standing Cover. Yesterday’s report said it will debut as Clear Gadget Case or Standing Case with Ring Grip Universal. Either way, the presence of a “Slide to Unlock” print and an LED on the plastic attachment for the ring suggests the cover will boast some sort of NFC connectivity that may allow users to unlock the phone by swiping on the back. The LED may indicate notifications and battery status. Or maybe it’s a little too wishful thinking from us. We will have to wait for the official announcement.

Meanwhile, we now have visuals of the Strap Cover and Frame Cover for the Galaxy S23 trio. As you’d expect, the former has a strap attached to it, helping you with gripping. It comes in multiple colors. The latter, on the other hand, comes with detachable protective gear for the frame. You can remove the interchangeable back cover and only add protection to the frame. Samsung will seemingly offer two back covers with this solution. One appears to be leather-made, while the other is transparent. The frame cover is transparent too.

These are just three of a host of official cases Samsung is readying for the Galaxy S23 series. We have already seen a few, including a leather cover, silicone case, and Smart View Wallet Case. Rumors have also named a Clear Case, Rugged Gadget Case, Silicone Grip Case, Clear View Cover, and Transparent Cover Ultrafine. We will have official screen protectors as well. All of these options will be available in a wide range of colors, except for the transparent ones, of course. We may see a few more leaks in the coming days as Samsung prepares for the launch event next week. The Galaxy S23 series debuts on February 1.
