Baltimore City Police have identified that 18-year-old man who was shot in east Baltimore earlier this week.

Police say Marquis Stuckey was shot in the 1700 block of Lamont Avenue just after 6:15 p.m. on January 24.

Officers were initially called to that location because of a Shot Spotter alert.

Police say there have been 21 homicides in Baltimore so far in 2023. According to police, there were 31 homicides at this point in 2022.

There were 48 nonfatal shootings in Baltimore at this point in 2022, according to the department. So far this year, there have been 32, according to police.
