Fleeing: Stumph Road
On Jan. 2, a traffic camera caught a stolen 2009 Toyota traveling on Stumph Road.
An arriving officer located the vehicle; however, the driver attempted to flee. The brief chase ended after the man lost control and struck a curb and a street sign.
After attempting to flee on foot, the suspect was tased and arrested. The Streetsboro man, who had a warrant, faces several felony charges related to fleeing officers.
Abusing harmful intoxicants: Newkirk Drive
On Jan. 4, police were dispatched to a Newkirk Drive address regarding suspicious activity.
An arriving officer discovered that two Parma Heights residents were huffing harmful intoxicants. They were arrested for drug abuse.
Stolen cash: Pearl Road
On Jan. 3, police were dispatched to a Pearl Road business after an owner discovered that an employee had stolen cash from the business. Police are investigating.
Counterfeiting: Pearl Road
On Jan. 4, police were dispatched to a Pearl Road business after a manager discovered that a customer had used a counterfeit $50 bill to pay for merchandise purchased a week earlier. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Fraud: Deering Avenue
On Jan. 4, a Deering Avenue resident called police after discovering that someone had made unauthorized purchases on her credit card. There are no suspects. Police are investigating.
Fleeing: Ackley Road
On Jan. 4, police observed a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze commit a traffic violation while driving on Ackley Road. The driver refused to stop. The pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.
Underage consumption: Orchard Boulevard
During a Jan. 5 traffic stop, police discovered that an underage Cleveland man was in possession of liquor. He was cited for underage consumption.
Assault: West 130th Street
On Jan. 5, police were dispatched to a West 130th Street address regarding an unruly man.
An arriving officer located the Parma suspect, who had committed an assault during an altercation. The man was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct.
Dog bite: Pearl Road
On Jan. 2, police were dispatched to a Pearl Road address regarding a dog bite.
An arriving officer located the victim, who was transported to the hospital. The animal control officer is investigating the incident.
