(Colrain, MA) Update: According to the Colrain Fire Department, units were dispatched to 397 Main Road in Colrain at 3:18 a.m. when reports of a fully involved garage fire came in. A 1st alarm was called bringing in mutual aid from Shelburne Falls, Shelburne Center, Heath, Greenfield, Charlemont, and Halifax, Vermont fire departments.

Upon arrival, crews saw heavy fire coming from the second floor of the structure and at that time a 2nd alarm was rung to bring in assistance from Buckland, Ashfield, Rowe, and Whitingham, Vermont either to the scene directly or for coverage of the area. Water was brought in from a Shelburne hydrant. The structure partially collapsed shortly after the initial crews arrived on scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no injuries were reported.

A 2nd alarm structure fire is underway at 397 Main Street in Colrain, about one mile from the Shelburne town line. The Colrain Fire Department is on scene with mutual aid.
