Temps to dip into the 30s & 40s tonight

ORLANDO, Fla. — Update:

Just a day after record highs were in the mid-80s, frost will be possible in the northern and northwestern portions of Central Florida on Thursday -- especially in Marion County and neighboring areas, chief meteorologist Tom Terry said.

No actual freeze is forecast, but lows in the upper-30s are expected for Ocala, Terry said.

Orlando will remain in the upper-40s.

“Quite the change from yesterday,” Terry said.

Central Florida will be partly sunny and cool Thursday after a cold front moved through overnight.

High temperatures in our area will only reach the mid-60s Thursday afternoon.

Thursday night will be even colder with lows in the 30s and 40s for some.

Temperatures in Orlando will drop down to 44 degrees by early Friday morning.

The high temperatures for Friday will also stay in the 60s.

Temperatures will rebound this weekend with highs in the 70s and 80s.
