FORECAST: More Scattered Snow Tonight

CLEVELAND — Winter Weather Advisories for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, & Ashtabula Counties in effect through 7am Friday morning.

A trough of low pressure draped across northern Ohio tonight will stir up numerous snow showers through the evening. These bands of snow will gradually shift northeast into the Primary Snowbelt. Most locations will see an inch or less of new snow tonight before midnight. But, from the Eastern Suburbs up the I-90 corridor, l expect widespread 2-4 inch snow totals by 7am Friday. Roads will be wet everywhere. Where snow bands persist, roads will be snow-covered and slick. Drive with care!

Snow will fade by early Friday, but it will be a cold and blustery day. Highs will be in the lower and middle 30s. A cold front will approach from the northwest late Friday afternoon and evening. That will mean another round of scattered snow for the entire area. Most of us will see a good dusting of snow. Higher ground areas of the snow belt east of Cleveland could see an inch or 2 into Saturday morning.

The Friday cold front will stall across Northern Ohio Saturday morning and then shift back north over Lake Erie early Sunday. Another wave of low pressure will bring a round of rain showers mixing with a little snow for Sunday.
