Stephen Francis Boyd, 69, a lifelong area resident passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Boyd was a therapy aide at the Wassaic Developmental Center in Wassaic, NY.
Born on July 21, 1953 in Sharon, CT he was the son of Sarah (Callahan) Boyd of Dover Plains and the late Clayton Boyd. Mr. Boyd attended Dover Schools. He was an avid sports enthusiast; he also enjoyed the outdoors especially camping and fishing.
Mr. Boyd is survived by a son, Kyle Boyd of Amenia; three sisters, Shelia Doria and her husband, Garry, of Pawling, Sharon Iacurto and her husband, Carmine, of Dover Plains and Sheri Baker of Fort Pierce, FL and two brothers, Scott Boyd and his wife, Bea, of Dover Plains and Clayton Boyd, Jr. of Amenia. He is also survived by his companion, Melanie Peterson of Wassaic.
Besides his father, Mr. Boyd was predeceased by a brother, Stanley Boyd and a sister, Stacey Boyd.
