Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland has been dropped from two of his other animated shows, Solar Opposites and Koala Man.

Streamer Hulu is the latest to drop Roiland as both a producer and voice actor from high-profile projects, after Adult Swim announced he was being dropped from Rick and Morty.

According to TVLine, Hulu and producers 20th Century Television have confirmed both Solar Opposites and Koala Man with voice recastings for the roles Roiland has on each.

"We have ended our association with Justin Roiland," a 20th Century Television spokesperson said on Wednesday (January 25).

Earlier this month, it was reported that Roiland had been charged in Orange County, California with "one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit" following an alleged incident with a former partner (via NBC).

The situation dates back to January 2020, but was only publicly reported on this month, when Roiland attended a pretrial hearing on January 12.

Roiland has pleaded not guilty.

"We look forward to clearing Justin's name and helping him move forward as swiftly as possible," his attorney Edward Welbourn said in a statement.

Adult Swim was the first to break with Roiland when it confirmed he was being removed from Rick and Morty. Reportedly, both main characters will be recast with new voice actors for season 7.

Roiland also voiced the alien scientist Korvo in the animated science-fiction comedy series Solar Opposites, as well as the pro-American Chad Wagon in Koala Man. He also executive-produced both series.

Roiland co-created Rick and Morty with Community's Dan Harmon ahead of its premiere in 2013. The series has aired on All4 and E4 in the UK.
