The Last of Us is getting new deluxe statue figures following the launch of the TV series.

The hit TV adaptation of the hugely influential video game series has already set record ratings in the US, so it's no surprise that new merchandise for the franchise is being rolled out.

Two figure statues have been officially licensed and will be released later this year, but pre-orders are already available for the deluxe PVC recreations.

These figures actually come from the Last of Us Part II game, which we imagine many viewers of the TV show will want to play soon when the first season finishes off.

Played by The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal in the TV version, the deluxe figure of Joel pretty much encapsulates him to a tee with a handgun to annihilate clickers in one hand and a guitar in the other.

Ellie – who is played by Game of Thrones' Bella Ramsey in the TV show – is armed with her trusty bow and arrow in case any runners or stalkers are around the corner.

You can place your orders now for the Joel statue and the Ellie statue, as they each cost £75 and will be shipping in late April 2023.

The live-action version of The Last of Us has already proved to be a massive success, having attracted 4.7 million viewers for HBO across its multiple platforms on the night of its premiere.

On top of that impressive figure, the viewer actually grew to 5.7 million in the second week for a kiss scene that nobody watching will soon forget.

The Last of Us airs on HBO in the US, and on Sky Atlantic and streaming service NOW in the UK.
