A Roseburg man was arrested overnight after a foot chase during a trespassing investigation at a business address on Garden Valley Blvd., according to a Roseburg Police Department report.
Just after 4 a.m. Wednesday, officers observed 34-year-old Justin Lee McCall trespassing on two properties.
McCall initially gave police a false name and was non-compliant, but finally said he was on parole and had an active warrant, the report stated.
"Officers attempted to detain him into handcuffs and McCall took off running," RPD said. "A foot pursuit ensued and McCall eventually gave up and was taken into custody without incident."
DCEC confirmed the listed warrant, police said, and a taser was found in his possession during a consent search.
McCall was interviewed as the suspect in a stolen vehicle case and lodged at the county corrections facility.
He was charged with the following:
- Statewide Felony Parole Board warrant for Parole Violation
- False Information to a Peace Officer
- Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon
- Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle (225494)
