Pleasant conditions into Thursday, along with gusty Santa Anas
Daytime temperatures remain pleasant and above seasonal average until Friday. Conditions on Thursday will be similar to Wednesday, with highs primarily in the 60s and 70s. Plenty of sunshine is expected until clouds return over the weekend.
A strong Santa Ana wind event began Wednesday in Ventura County and will linger into Thursday. Several wind alerts have been issued, including a High Wind Warning and a Wind Advisory. The Warning will be in effect from 7pm Wednesday until 6am Thursday for the Mountains of Ventura County, where gusts could get up to 60 mph. The Advisory will be in effect from 7pm Wednesday until 6pm Thursday for Ventura County Valleys, and from 12am-2pm Thursday for Ventura County Beaches and the inland coast.
The High Surf Advisory remains in effect until 6pm Wednesday for Ventura County Beaches and until 10pm Wednesday for Central Coast Beaches due to dangerous rip currents and the increased risk of drowning.
A cooling trend begins Saturday and temperatures drastically cool into early next week. There is a light chance of rain Sunday and Monday.
