Sirens: Driver Flees From Police; Stolen Vehicle Recovery; Theft Reports

CENTRALIA POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Theft 

• An unknown suspect reportedly stole something from a hardware store in the 1600 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Jan. 23. 

• Just after 7:35 a.m. on Jan. 24, a backpack with a computer was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 900 block of Johnson Road the night prior. 

• An unidentified suspect reportedly damaged an electrical box in the 1300 block of Lum Road at approximately 7:25 a.m. on Jan. 25 and stole wiring. 

 

Stolen Vehicle Recovery

• A Des Moines resident was arrested in the 1200 block of Alder Street just after 1:10 p.m. on Jan. 24 after he was pulled over for driving a stolen vehicle. A pistol and narcotics were located in the vehicle. 

 

Burglary 

• An unidentified suspect reportedly broke into a vacant building in the 2100 block of Haviland Street at 2 p.m. on Jan. 24. 

 

Vehicle Accident

• A minor, non-injury, two-vehicle collision was reported at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and West Bridge Street just after 12:55 p.m. on Jan. 23. 

 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run that occurred in the 600 block of Centralia College Boulevard over the weekend was reported just after noon on Jan. 24. 

 

Malicious Mischief 

• Property damage was reported in the 1300 block of West Main Street at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 23. The case is under investigation. 

 

Traffic Problem 



• Officers attempted to stop a silver Honda CRV with the Washington license plate BNN8213 at the intersection of Mellen Street and northbound Interstate 5 at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 23, but the vehicle fled from officers onto I-5. The case is under investigation. 

 

Trespassing 

• A Centralia woman was cited for first-degree criminal trespass in the 100 block of South Silver Street at approximately 5:10 p.m. on Jan. 24. 

• A Chehalis man was cited for first-degree criminal trespass in the 500 block of South Tower Avenue at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Jan. 24. 

 

CHEHALIS POLICE DEPARTMENT 

Hit-and-Run 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard at approximately 12:10 p.m. on Jan. 23. 

• A hit-and-run was reported in the 1100 block of South Market Boulevard just after 1:55 p.m. on Jan. 24. 

 

Vehicle Theft 

• A truck and a trailer were reported stolen from the 2500 block of North National Avenue just before 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 23. 

 

Burglary 

• A second-degree burglary reported in the 2600 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Jan. 24 is under investigation. 

 

Assault 

• A subject was cited for fourth-degree assault following a physical dispute that was reported in the 200 block of Southeast Washington Avenue just after 7:40 p.m. on Jan. 24.
