HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Police are searching for one person after a robbery at a PNC Bank in Huntsville on Wednesday.

Three suspects were originally wanted but HPD clarified on Thursday that investigators believe only one person was involved.

According to a spokesperson with the Huntsville Police Department (HPD), officers responded to the bank, located at 2004 Country Club Avenue, just after 3 p.m. for a robbery.

HPD said the person gave the teller a note making the teller think they had a weapon. HPD told News 19 no weapon was ever actually seen by a bank employee.

Police say investigators are working to speak with a person of interest.

HPD did not release any surveillance footage of the crime at this time.

This is a developing story.
