Thanks to the success of Avatar: The Way of Water, Zoe Saldaña has become the first actor to have starred in four movies that made over $2 billion at the box office.

James Cameron's long-awaited sequel crossed the milestone in its sixth weekend of release and currently stands at $2.02 billion. Saldaña's other films to surpass the $2 billion mark are Avatar (2009), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

The actress took to Instagram to celebrate the incredible achievement on Tuesday (January 14), posting a fan-made video montage including clips from her roles as Neytiri and Gamora.

This milestone also means that Cameron is now the first director to have three films in the $2 billion club, the other two being Avatar (which remains the biggest movie of all time) and Titanic (1997).

Saldaña will be returning to the world of Avatar for at least three more sequels, and can next be seen reprising her role as Gamora in Guardians of Galaxy Vol.3 in cinemas this May.

Avatar: The Way of Water is now playing in cinemas worldwide. The first film is streaming on Disney+.
