A Silver Alert was issued for 75-year-old David Mobley on Saturday after he was last seen leaving the VA clinic in Fort Smith Arkansas the day before.
Troopers say the accident happened just three miles west of Muldrow on Interstate 40 westbound just after 4 p.m. Saturday, when Mobley rear-ended another vehicle.
Mobley's car then departed the road to the left, struck a cable barrier, and traveled 120 yards down the barrier before stopping. It then caught on fire and burned completely.
Troopers say Mobley was pinned inside for about two hours.
Troopers are still investigating what caused the crash and the condition of Mobley.
