A Pottsville man is behind bars after allegedly assaulting a city police officer on Tuesday.
According to Skook News, around 9 AM Tuesday, a Pottsville City Police Officer had an encounter with a man at the intersection of North Centre Street and Laurel Boulevard.
The male was identified as Clint Parks, age 57, of Pottsville.
During the encounter, the man, identified as 57-year-old Clint Parks, allegedly punched the officer in the face. The officer attempted to tase Parks, however, it had no effect on him, according to officials.
Additional officers arrived and assisted with taking Parks into custody.
Parks was charged with one count each of aggravated assault, simple assault, resisting arrest, and harassment. He is being held at the Schuylkill County Prison on $20K cash bail.
