Congratulations are in order for Paris Hilton and husband Carter Reum, who welcomed their first child together. The businesswoman and DJ, 41, announced the news on Instagram, sharing a close-up photo of her baby’s hand wrapped around her finger with a blue emoji.
“You are already loved beyond words 💙,” the star captioned the post.
People confirmed that the couple welcomed their baby, a boy, via surrogate, and shared a quote from the new mom. “It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy.”
Hilton married Reum, an entrepreneur, in November 2021 and celebrated with a three-day extravaganza in California. After saying “I do,” Hilton has been vocal about wanting to start a family right away.
Two months after their wedding, she told E! News’ Daily Pop she “cannot wait,” to have children adding that she would like “two or three” kids.
“I would want twins first,” she said. “I don’t know it’s hard to say. I always wish I had an older brother because I feel like if I did then he would protect me and things like that in school.”
She later told Nikki and Brie Bella on The Bellas Podcast that they wanted “three or four” children overall.
She also talked openly about the IVF process and said it was friend Kim Kardashian (who welcomed two of her four children via surrogate) who first educated Hilton on the process. “I didn’t even know anything about it,” Hilton said on the podcast, The Trend Reporter with Mara in January 2021, “I’m happy that she told me that advice and introduced me to her doctor.”
Kardashian was one of the many celebrities who sent their congratulations to the couple on Instagram and commented on Hilton’s Instagram post, “So happy for you guys!!! 🤍”
Lindsay Lohan wrote, “Congratulations!!! ❤️🙏❤️.” Chrissy Teigen, who just welcomed her a baby girl with John Legend, added, “a BABY!!!!! congratulations so happy for you both!!”
