GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Colorado has a new option for Hawaiian-inspired poke.

Fast-casual brand Pokeworks has opened its first location in Colorado in Greenwood Village.

Pokeworks held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday at the location, inside the Belleview Promenade shopping center at 8000 E. Belleview Ave. The new restaurant will be open everyday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

"After so much anticipation, we’re so excited to finally open the first Pokeworks in the Mile High City," franchisee Thi Tran said.

"This area deserves fresh, customizable and healthy poke bowls, so we can’t wait to begin serving the Denver community soon and look forward to continuing our growth across this great state!"

The debut restaurant is just the beginning for Pokeworks in Colorado, with four more locations planned to open over the next two years.

Founded in 2015, California-based Pokeworks has more than 60 locations across 20 states. Pokeworks announced plans in 2022 to expand to Canada and Taiwan with 50 new locations.

"Our vision is to be the leading premium fast casual Poke brand in the world," said Steve Heeley, CEO at Pokeworks. "Our partnerships in Mexico, Canada, and Taiwan are clear steps in realizing our vision."

"Our reputation as ‘the leading fast casual poke brand’ comes with high expectations that we aim to meet and exceed," Heeley said.
"We firmly believe that part of the role of being an industry leader is to expand globally. That expansion planning involves choosing operators who share our vision and commitment to quality poke, and groups like Next Level Dining and Eat Up Canada are the perfect fit to help us build the brand’s presence around the world while we still charge forward in the U.S."
