Ukrainian orchestra to play at UNC Pembroke

PEMBROKE, N.C. (WPDE) —
The Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra of Ukraine is making a stop in the Carolinas.

It is part of a 40-day tour featuring three selections.
The orchestra will be playing at UNC Pembroke.
The principal conductor, Theodore Kuchar, said despite what the country is going through, the group is determined to put on a good show.
"Every one of these people will walk on stage with their instruments with a smile on their face. Thankful to be in America right now. And they will do their absolute best to portray that repertoire that music," said Kuchar.
The orchestra has a history dating back to 1902, which is about 121 years of great music.
The concert is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
