NEW ORLEANS — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a Tuesday homicide that left one victim dead in the 4500 block of Perlita Street.

According to a press release, NOPD officers responded to a shooting at around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday and found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.

The man would succumb to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.
