Hope Stape is set to make a shocking revenge plan after the death of her chinchilla Cilla on Coronation Street.
In new scenes airing this week, Hope's new pet (which she was given by Fiz and Tyrone in an attempt to distract her attention away from late serial killer father John) meets a gruesome fate at the hands of Kirk and Beth Sutherland's dog Peanut as she takes care of the pooch.
Peanut manages to get hold of Cilla, before Hope is horrified to find her pet dead on the carpet.

In the aftermath of the chaos next week, Hope admits to Sam that she's planning to enact revenge over the tragic events, and needs his help.
Over in the factory, Beth tells Fiz that she's sorry over what happened, though stokes Fiz's anger when she suggests Cilla was just a posh rat. Carla is then forced to step in to prevent a fight breaking out between the two.
Sam reluctantly cons Maria into giving over Vin Diesel the stuffed weasel from the barber's on Hope's instructions. Hope then orders Sam to go as she carefully places Vin Diesel's mouth around the skin of her arm.
She then approaches Peanut and screams – will her revenge plan work?

In events later on in the week, Hope is caught sneaking out the backyard with Vin Diesel by Tyrone, but does this mean the game is up for her?
Hope is later confronted by Beth, leading her to return home in tears and claim that Beth slapped her in the face. Angered, Fiz and Tyrone confront Beth with the allegation, which she denies.
Amid all the chaos, Fiz makes the suggestion that the four of them should sit down together and talk through the incident with Hope, though when Hope returns home, she storms out in anger.
