Baltimore County Police say a suspect made a carjacking attempt in Baltimore city, then successfully carried out an armed carjacking in Towson before shooting himself.
At about 2:30 pm the suspect tried but failed to carjack an individual on the 9200 block of Harford Road in Baltimore city, according to police.
Authorities say, the suspect then used his original vehicle to travel to Loch Raven Boulevard and Joppa Road in Towson where he successfully carried out an armed carjacking.
Later, officers found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound near Goucher Boulevard and Colbury Road, said the department.
Baltimore County Police Department is continuing to investigate this incident.
"I saw so many helicopters, a bunch of police. They had guns - it was really scary to see," said Princess Vasquez, who lives nearby.
