A woman has been arrested after one of her children was found with injuries that required treatment at a hospital, according to police.
The Tulsa Police Department were called to Union Public School's Grove Elementary to investigate possible child abuse after a child was found with bruising.
Police say the child had egregious bruising on her leg and buttocks region, along with loop-patterned injuries to her back.
Police say these loop-patterned injuries are typically caused by an electrical extension cord or other flexible wire or cord object used as a whip for punishment or torture.
The original child and her three siblings were taken into protective custody by officers and taken to the Child Advocacy Center for medical exams and interviews. The original victim was sent to the hospital for further treatment.
Abusive injuries were also found on two of the other children.
Their mother, Claudia Choc-Cucul was arrested on three counts of child abuse by injury and three counts of child neglect. The children have been removed from the home by the Department of Human Services.
