Burbank Police Department Crime Log

Police were notified of a robbery in progress by loss prevention officers at a 7-Eleven convenience store on Burbank Avenue on Jan. 11 at 4:50 p.m. During the incident, a man allegedly went behind the store counter, pushed the clerk and stole two packs of cigarettes and a Gatorade. Officers located the man arrested him for robbery. He was placed on $100,000 bail.

Officers responded to a vehicle burglary in progress on Tujunga Avenue at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 13. Upon arrival, officers observed one suspect flee on foot and another suspect was located sitting inside of an alleged getaway vehicle. Their investigation revealed the suspects were in a stolen truck that was unreported, while they were attempting to steal another truck. One suspect was arrested for grand theft auto, attempted grand theft auto and narcotics violations. The other suspect was not located during search of neighborhood. The arrested man was placed on $25,000 bail.

Witnesses called law enforcement after hearing a man and woman arguing inside of an apartment in the 300 block of Alameda Avenue at about 3 a.m. on Jan. 15. Officers arrived, and searched the man, who was found to be in possession of cocaine. A records check of the man revealed he had an outstanding warrant. He was arrested for drug possession and the outstanding warrant.
