Two local Regal Cinemas locations will be closing in February. Business Insider reporting that the Elmwood Center 16 in Buffalo and the Transit Center Stadium 18 and Imax in Lancaster are among 39 Regals across the U.S. set to close as part of the parent company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.
Other Half Brewing is planning an expansion at its Seneca One site. Business First says the brewery, based out of Brooklyn, will triple its current space, part of which will include a café/lounge and private event space, and an outdoor beer garden area. The work is expected to take 6 to 12 months to complete.
Property management company Norstar Development USA was recently acquired by Boston-based Beacon Communities LLC for an undisclosed sum. Business First noting the deal was officially completed in late December, with Norstar finishing work on its $14 million, 48-unit Niagara Square apartments on Niagara Street at the same time.
