Betty White was a beloved Hollywood actress best known for her roles in The Golden Girls and Hot in Cleveland. Not only was she a star on screen, but an animal rights activist. She spent most of her free time helping all of the animals she loved so much. She passed away on New Year’s Eve 2021, just weeks before her 100th birthday.
This year, on what would have been her 101st birthday, fans from all over the world paid tribute to the icon. It proved what an incredible impact she had on so many people. Many shared photos of Betty from her youth to her more recent golden years.
While some fans simply wished her a Happy Birthday and shared how much they miss her, others shared some of her most impactful quotes from over the years. One social media user tweeted her quote, “Butterflies are like women – we may look pretty and delicate, but baby, we can fly through a hurricane.”
One person wrote, “Happy Heavenly Birthday, dear Betty White, here portraying the outwardly-saccharine, inwardly-acid-tongued Sue-Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. Still missed.”
Another shared, “Hard to believe this is the 2nd January 17th without Betty White. Hard to believe today would have been her 101st birthday.
