On Jan. 16, 2023, at about 8:22 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol in the Garberville area conducted a vehicle investigation on the 70 block of Bear Canyon Road.

Deputies attempted to contact two men associated with the vehicle, one of which subsequently fled on foot. Deputies pursued the man to a nearby creek, where the man attempted to evade deputies by entering the water. The man, later identified as 27-year-old William Tyler Hebard, was quickly taken into custody by pursuing deputies. Hebard was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Meanwhile, deputies remaining on scene at the suspicious vehicle contacted the second individual, 28-year-old Matthew Dwayne Wilson.

Hebard was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of resisting a peace officer (PC 148(a)(1)) and violation of probation (PC 1203.2(a)(2)), in addition to a probation violation warrant.

Anyone with information about this case or related criminal activity is encouraged to call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251 or the Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip line at (707) 268-2539.

I know Billy. When he was a kid he was a good un. Meth and street living turned that kid into the man-zombie you see today.

Meth / fentanyl. Make good people bad. And bad people worse. Nobody does it for long and dodges the bullet of destruction.

Must be friends of Brandi who was ridin dirty. That Fentanyl is almost as wonderful a drug as Meth. Helps you lose weight and is really wonderful for your skin, gives you a healthy glow.

All us white people look like these two this time of year wearing a tee shirt. Most of us know better than having our picture taken without our Parkas and sun glasses this time of year. Get some sun next summer boys and girls so we don’t have to look at you again like this next winter.

Oooo weeee. Okay. Oh you got to start giving some harder sentences or more follow-up for the first time these people get busted instead of letting it go on and on. How much of functional society do we lose from the dysfunction of lack of consequences?

Why would anyone try a drug that’s so addicting. Lack of education possibly?
Most fentanyl users wish they never heard of it.

Some people don’t even know they are doing it. That is why they are putting it in Meth, pot whatever they can to get others hooked on it so they will come back and get it from them all about money to them but people are dying lots of them and the sad part is they had no idea what they were doing.

LOL. “Deputies pursued him into a nearby creek”. I wonder which one of these two are the leader of the pack? The deputies must go home at night and laugh about their day at the dinner table.

I’ve joked before about Dwayne Lee Frankie Clyde Wayne or some such string of male criminal names, but i do wonder if a study of the fates of people with such names would turn up a correlation with mug shots.

Choices were made. What a waste of life. Zero pity from me.

Yeah maybe for the ones who had a choice. Have you ever been with tour friends your young and wanting to fit in and you get drunk and one person brings out something and does it and passes it they do it and you get your turn as it comes to you your drunk and not thinking straight and decide it didn’t hurt them so you do it to? Well So the next time it was no big deal you remember how it sobered you up and you had a good time. Well it didn’t take to many times before you are doing it not thinking about addiction but chasing that feeling that you got the 1st time but never feeling like that again. Addiction is a disease and believe me most addicts regret it doing it the 1st time and not knowing that the consequences were to were coming from being addicted. It is sad and most addicts are very smart and intelligent and I have met addicts who were doctors, nurses van get anyone. So yeah I feel bad for anyone who made a bad decision and it destroyed there life. I am a addict and I didn’t choose it but there is help when you can’t take it anymore. I So you should feel pity for them and they have lost everything because of addiction and putting your life back after is a hard road to walk I know. So it could happen to you to nobody is amune.
