Passenger Transported to Hospital After 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision in Santa Clarita

Santa Clarita, Los Angeles County, CA: A two-vehicle traffic collision Thursday night in the city of Santa Clarita left a passenger injured in one of the vehicles.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Newhall Station received reports of a traffic collision with a person trapped at 9:10 p.m., Jan. 12, involving two vehicles with major front end damage blocking traffic lanes on Railroad and Newhall Avenues.

When Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived with paramedics, they found one person sitting in the driver side rear seat requiring medical attention.

AMR ambulance later transported the patient to Henry Mayo due to their injuries.

Drivers of both vehicles told deputies the same statement – “They blew the red light.”

The investigation is ongoing.
