Pulaski County man indicted on kidnapping, strangulation charges

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) – An indictment warrant was issued by a Pulaski Grand Jury following a criminal investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

Sean Otis Campbell, 48, was arrested following the indictment warrant after an alleged altercation that took place on Nov. 23, 2022, with his wife, Angela Campbell.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, Campbell forced his wife into his vehicle near their home in Science Hill.

The sheriff’s office said he drove her to a motel where he pushed her up against a wall and began strangling her. An employee of Campbell who was staying at the motel intervened and got him to release her.

She was able to escape Campbell and hid in a bathroom in a public area of the motel. The sheriff’s office said a family member picked her up and took her to the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital to receive treatment for her injuries.

Over the course of the investigation, authorities uncovered Campbell’s criminal history, which consisted of at least two felony convictions.

Pulaski County authorities said they found Campbell on Ash Street in Ferguson and was arrested shortly after.
