N.J. wrestlers in the national rankings as of Dec. 29: Several newcomers join fold

With prestigious national tournaments like the Beast of the East, Walsh Ironman and King of the Mountain behind us and with Powerade underway, the national landscape of who some of where some of the state’s top wrestlers is starting to take shape.

Add in equally important and renowned in-state tournaments like the Sam Cali Invitational and Mustang Classic and Garden State wrestlers have made a name for themselves as 2022 winds down.

Here’s where some of the state’s best sit in the national rankings, both pound-for-pound and in their respective weight classes, as of 8 p.m. on Dec. 29.
