1 Trapped in Vehicle Collision with Big Rig

Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, CA: A woman was transported to a local area hospital after colliding with the side of a big rig trailer Tuesday morning at the intersection of East Washington Boulevard and South Soto Street in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department responded to the intersection just before 2:00 a.m., Dec. 27.

LAFD arrived and requested additional units for a single victim that was trapped inside a white sedan.

After approximately 10 minutes, LAFD canceled the additional resources as they were able to extricate the victim from the vehicle.

The solo female occupant was transported by ambulance to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The cause of the collision is unknown at this time.
