(WWJ) WDIV-TV host Jason Carr has been terminated from his job at Local 4, according to reports, after he expressed frustration with co-workers at the station and complained on the air.

Citing a source familiar with the termination, the Detroit News said in a story published Monday that Carr — who hosted of WDIV-TV's daily mid-morning program "Live in the D" — was "let go after an incident on Dec. 6 in which he expressed frustration with members of station management during his 'Jason Carr Live' morning program on Local 4+." The newspaper later issued a correction saying it was actually co-workers that were the target of Carr's frustration.

WWJ has learned that it seems to have been a little bit of both.

While no one at Local 4 will go on record about the situation, WWJ has been told by people familiar with the incident that Carr reportedly yelled at his co-workers. He was taken off the air as a result, came back, and then — back on the air — criticized management for taking him off.

Local 4+ programming is available online, through streaming services and via a mobile app.

While WDIV has not made a statement on the firing, there are signs. Carr has not been on the air since Dec. 6, and his name and face have been removed from the "Meet the Local 4 Team" page on the WDIV website.

The newspaper stated that Carr, a Plymouth native and Michigan State University alum, was unable to be reached for comment.

Usually active on his public Facebook page, Carr hasn't posted since Dec. 4.

Carr had been with WDIV since 2016 after previously working at competitor Fox 2.
