HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Even though they aren't going to buy the building, the Hutchinson USD 308 Board of Education is going to entertain a proposal by the Boys & Girls Club to make physical changes at Ave. A School to enhance their program and increase safety.
A presentation by the club is on the agenda for Monday night's board meeting, though a final vote will likely take place at a future meeting.
Also on Monday, the board will consider a proposal to install security glass at four additional schools in the district. The proposal from Sturgeon Glass & Mirror for $149,600 is for EntryGuard® glass. It will be paid for half from capital outlay and half from the Safe and Secure Schools state grant.
Monday's meeting is at 6:00 p.m. at the USD 308 Administration Center
at 1520 N. Plum St.
