Yesterday, the My Disney Experience app received an update that now allows guests who purchase Genie+ at Walt Disney World to modify their Lightning Lane selections. Previously, once you made your three Lightning Lane selections, you couldn’t change either their times or the attraction.

Today, we went through the process of modifying a Lightning Lane selection. Read on for our full guide to the process.

First, we purchased Genie+, which was $17 today. Variable date-based pricing was introduced to Genie+ in October.

After purchasing Genie+, you can start making your Lightning Lane selections.

We started by choosing The Haunted Mansion with a return window between 8:50 a.m. and 9:50 a.m.

Make sure you confirm your selections.

We then returned to our plans. We clicked the three dots on the box for our Haunted Mansion Lightning Lane selection and were given the option to manage details, modify plan, view my party, or get directions.

After selecting “modify plan,” we could change our Haunted Mansion selection to a different time (if available) or select a new experience.

We then selected The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh with a return window between 8:35 a.m. and 9:35 a.m.

Our Winnie the Pooh Lightning Lane selection then showed up at the top of our plans page.

You can even alter your selection multiple times. We clicked the three dots and modified our plans again.

We were able to change our selection back to The Haunted Mansion at 8:50 a.m.
