NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A Chinese food deliveryman was violently robbed while bringing an order to his attackers in the Bronx this week, police said Friday as they released video of two suspects.

The 50-year-old deliveryman was taking food to an address on East Clarke Place, near Walton Avenue, in the Mount Eden section around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday when he was attacked by two men in an apparent robbery setup.

As the deliveryman arrived with food in hand, the first man came up and struck him over the head, causing him to fall to the ground, police said.

Moments later, a second man showed up and both men whaled on the victim, who was punched and kicked repeatedly while on the ground.

His attackers stole $300 from him, as well as the food he was delivering, according to police.

The victim was hospitalized with multiple lacerations to his face, as well as bleeding and bruising to his head, eyes and neck. He also suffered a shoulder injury.

Video shows the two suspects walking down a sidewalk around the time of the assault.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
