Plenty of NBA stars — past and present — have presented who their "dream starting fives" would be. Stephen Curry , the two-time MVP and four-time NBA champion, recently shared his ideal lineup. And to nobody's surprise, the iconic Michael Jordan is at the top of his list.

Who's joining His Airness

Curry revealed his choices in an interview with Sports Illustrated after being named the Sportsman of the Year. Granted, he is part of the starting five; Curry named Jordan and Los Angeles Lakers great Magic Johnson to be his mates in the backcourt.

"I'm at PG. I'm going with Magic—we'll play hybrid guards," Curry said.

Johnson's legendary passing ability and leadership qualities would be on full display with this lineup. At the same time, Jordan's all-around skillset — highlighted by his scoring prowess, athleticism, and competitive spirit — will also be heavily featured.

Dirk and Diesel comprise the frontcourt

Curry chose two of the most dominant players of the modern era: Shaquille O'Neal and Dirk Nowitzki. The first pick, O'Neal, is one of the most physically daunting players in league history. His size, strength, and athleticism made him a dominant force in the post and could be an unstoppable force against opponents.

Meanwhile, Nowitzki has a lofty reputation as one of the best shooters to play the game. His one-legged fadeaway has baffled defenders over the years, and his offensive repertoire would fit perfectly with Curry's lineup.

"You got Dirk spacing the floor, shooting the ball. And you got the big man, the Diesel, holding it down. So, that's a solid lineup, I think," said Curry.

While there are numerous greats that Curry passed up on, such as LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, his choice of lineup speaks volumes about the players he admires. And with Curry heading the show, this dream starting five is worth watching out for!
