Affidavit: Sister tried to save mother from brother during deadly Kissimmee stabbing
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, 21-year-old Matthew Sisley, confessed to stabbing and killing his mother and also stabbing and injuring his sister in their Kissimmee home last month.
In an interview with detectives, he claimed he attacked his mom because she "never pushed him to be a man," noting he "would do it again."
Sheriff Marcos Lopez says Sisley stabbed his sister when she tried to intervene.
“He basically said he didn’t mean to hurt his sister. His intentions were very clear,” Lopez said.
The arrest report details how Sisley attacked his mom in the kitchen while his sister was in another room.
“She doesn’t understand what triggers it, but she hears her mother screaming and then she runs back out and sees that her brother, Sisley, is stabbing her mother,”
The report says Sisley’s sister tried to save her mom’s life by getting in between them and trying to choke Sisley, but he ended up stabbing her and throwing her to the ground.
It says that’s when she ran back to her room and called 911.
“[Deputies] attempted life-saving measures to the victim they found in the residence, however, she was already deceased,” Lopez said.
We’re told when Sisley realized his sister was calling law enforcement, he ran away.
Deputies found and arrested him nearby.
He was initially facing charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and now also faces premeditated murder.
